SALIENT FEATURES

  • Multi fuel design. Charging doors to feed Solid bulk fuel like wood logs, coal lump. Feed pipes are provided to feed pulverized fuel from top.

  • No refractory lining is involved as both furnaces are built in and radiation heat is transferred to boiler water without storage of useful heat by refractory lined external combustion chamber which will increase Thermal Efficiency by 3-4%

  • Boiler water in bottom gets sensible heat from first pass of furnaces and second pass having heating tubes gets the latent heat.

  • Upper steam drum will have third pass heating tubes and provides latent heat to heated water and changes liquid phase to steam phase. Specially provided heating tubes ensures faster transfer of hot water to steam and capable to cater steam during peak load

  • This unique INNOVATION of boiler combines advantages of Natural water circulation through Down comers and Risers.

  • Hot water through down comers connecting to bottom are transferred to bottom shell and this way natural circulation starts in boiler.

  • Separate heating area provided for latent heat in third pass, will effect change of liquid phase to gas phase energetically and pick up steam formation.

  • Large furnace area provided for less heat flux on furnaces.

  • Upper steam drum provides large Water-steam separation Area to release the steam during peak demand

  • Ample Steam chest volume and sufficient steam chest height provides constant dryness fraction of steam during peak load

  • Water holding capacity of bottom & top steam drum is large enough which will provides constant operating pressure during feed water feeding.

  • Wrapper drum provides smooth entry to second pass with less drop which otherwise recurring power losses.

  • Ratio of Water Holding to Steam Generation is large which prevents drop in operating pressure during feed water pump starts.

  • Above features provides steam with highest possible constant dryness fraction of steam with minimum pressure drop during start of boiler feed pump and offers thermal efficiency as high as 78-80 % with no refractory repairs.
